Grandparents came over for a visit today.

We went to Hugo's school fair. An extraordinary affair.

Instead of raising money for the school they raise money for charity. All the kids have to have a stall, in groups of 5 or less per stall and all money goes to a charity of their choice, which has to be a registered charity (Hugo's Xbox360 appeal doesn't count).

This leads to a massive range of stalls, games, cakes, face painting, story telling, as varied as the kids imagination. They launch themselves into it with youthful enthusiasm, the focus on altruism is refreshing, the whole thing is really vibrant and lively.

As part of the fun the dads can bring along their classic cars (well done dads).

This is one of my all time favourites, apparently the handling is rubbish, the brakes are rubbish and it doesn't go as fast as the manufacturers claimed. So what!!!
