View from Gummer's Howe

We spent the morning rowing in the rain to Fell Foot Park. It's National Trust, has a small jetty to which Coquette was moored, and the obligatory NT tea room. Scones and tea for everyone, then the row home against the wind.

Dad went sailing on his own in the afternoon - the wind was very light and I enjoyed sitting on the end of the jetty taking the in the Lakeland scenery until Dad decided he'd had enough.

After dinner, Mum had an (unexpected) desire to climb the mountain we could see across the lake shining the evening sunshine. Actually you can drive to a car park and climb only the last bit. So she and I climbed and were rewarded with this beautiful scene at the top. Lovely last evening of hols.
