The Nile

My brother gave me this book, he found it in the book bin at a bazaar. He thought I'd like it because I have always been fascinated by egyptology. I do like it for that, but I also love it because it was published in 1895 and is the oldest book I own. It has a great chapter on Egyptian writing. My only disappointment is that it doesn't contain any photographic plates or illustrations, other than hieroglyphics and diagrams of the great temples of Egypt.

I have yet to go to Egypt, but would love to, someday...
