Dad
James Shillam, my Dad climbed the Matterhorn, walked across Lapland alone, hitched a lift on a Submarine, went to Galstonbury festival for the first time at 71 years old, where he smoked a bit of dope!, carried an injured woman and both of their rugsacks down a mountain in the Alps, survived a 14 hour thunderstorm in the mountains on a 1 foot wide ledge with a 4,000 foot drop,
saw Belsen the day after it was liberated, brought 4 boys up on his own, saw a sugar factory in Newscastle bombed during the war where the streets were lit by burning rivers of molten sugar.
Photographer, Artist, Adventurer, Mountaineer, Storyteller, Dad.
Keep on walking.
