Peace and calm

What a gorgeous day!

Woke earlier than yesterday so off out and about in good time and headed off to Perranuthnoe for a walk along the headland to Kenneggy Sands.  Lovely views as we looked backwards to St Michael's Mount and the adjacent coastline. However the map reader slightly mis-mapread and we ended up at Praa Sands instead! So stopped for lunch and a wee water refreshment for a rather hot dog.

Footpaths were non-existent on the way back - despite showing clearly on the map, so had a few adventures trying to get find the best way. Got back to the car and had a wee sit on the slipway at the beach watching the waves at high tide (and a very mad person who went swimming in it). Used my new filters, however didn't manage to get as slow a shutter speed as I hoped - hoping it was because it really was rather bright rather than anything else! Also when I got back and uploaded them they all had a pinky red tone to them! Managed to correct them with white balance, but a bit disappointing if I'm to be really honest!

However I do just love looking out to sea - the vast nothingness but everythingness (if that makes sense) is just so calming - could have sat there for ages.

Back "home", gym, hot bath, fire, wine and dinner. Bliss.
