Monkey See

Elements required for treehouse:

- Tree: in this case a walnut tree (which is the mystery fruit from my blip the other day).
- Ladder
- Books
- Viking helmet (historical accuracy not required)
- Crockery in case of impromtu dinner parties
- Monkeys to keep watch

So that's what the kids were up to today. After yesterday's foolishly late night (backblipped this morning in a haze) I had to get up early to take Mam to the airport for her flight home. All went well, except for her trying to board with her boarding pass from the way down. Somehow she got through a couple of security checks ok with the old one...

Later there was much gardening, then a trip over to the new house to chat with one of the first residents in the group of houses to see what he knew about our drainage situation. What he was able to show us was potentially very helpful and may save us a lot of cost, time and hassle. It may also mean that I don't have to dig up half an acre of bramble bushes until we've had a chance to at least harvest one year's worth of fruit.

Back home for more planting in the cool late evening sunshine, which went well even despite Mr B's inability to dib in straight lines. (There's a gift for any Smith brothers who are hanging around with nothing better to inuendo about.)
