Wise Words

One week ago she was waiting to be released from Children's Hospital, and now here she is navigating the rocks on the beach after a chilly dip in the Atlantic.

Watching her brought to memory the words of wisdom I wrote in her 13th birthday card: "Congrats on being a teenager! Call me when you get acne and your thighs start to touch. Been there."

But she's not there yet, clearly.
