Bubbles and porky-pies

The last few months have seen Kai increasingly using language to express himself. Because he is bilingual he can be difficult to understand but every day he?s a little clearer.

I?m finding this exciting development rather exhausting.

From insisting he wants to play with bubbles at every opportunity, refusing his dinner and asking for pudding instead, telling me how to construct his train set, to deciding he prefers showers to baths, Kai can order me about and make his ?wishes? known in no uncertain terms.

I feel like I hear myself saying, ?say please?, a hundred times a day!

But the real development showed itself when I asked Kai why a certain beloved teddy had lost his scarf and where it was? He looked around for an answer, and seeing Nikki sitting innocently across the room said,

?Nikki did it!?

His first porky-pie!
