24 hour life

Dads roses.

Had a lovely morning. The year 2 class I work in, back in April, made chocolates and sold them, they donated their profits to The Royal British Legion.

We were thanked and then invited to attend, as special guests, to the breaking of the flag to signify the start of Armed Forces week. It was a really moving ceremony, the kids were brilliant. We all received a poppy pin, the war veterans were lovely and made a huge fuss of us. The kids were thanked and clapped throughout the morning. After we were invited for scones and juice!! It was a really great morning, we all enjoyed ourselves.

The amount we raised was £13.66. You would have thought we'd raised millions. I'm sure the children will remember this morning forever, and maybe realise how important the Armed Services are, and what they fought and still fight for. I'm pretty sure they'll be thinking of fund raising ideas too.
