Poppy heads

A very satisfying day today. read the papers over breakfast then worked in the garden all day.

We finally finished building the greenhouse which has been an ongoing project for months. Don't know how many times it was built only to be taken down again at various stages because something didn't quite fit. So much for one size fits all kind of instructions.Just as well both John and I are patient and painstaking.So now I have my lounge / music room back as John has put all his tomato plants etc in the greenhouse.
It even stayed dry all day and the grass which was knee high again got cut, halleluiah!

Doesn't take much to please me does it?

Tonight is a simple blip of the last poppy to flower , I quite like the different stages of the poppy head changing , thought it told a kind of story of the cycle of poppy life.

So today . a rainfree day and getting yesterday's landscape in the spotlight is definitely a red letter day.
