What is it?

Any guesses?

Number one son came back from his holiday in Turkey today.
He brought a present back for the lad.

We had to puzzle over it for a while, until we worked out what it was.
It's covered in spongey matter, so it can be used as a swimming pool float.

Then we realised it opened, as shown.
And it turns out it's a water gun!
