Pickled Eggs & Peppers
Over the past few nights I've been trying my hand at pickling. Tonight I boiled the vinegar with spices, and I took the bold step from eggs to jalapeno peppers. It's really the simplest thing, and I can't imagine why I've never done it before. I've helped people do canning of fruits and vegetables, but not this. I remember eating pickled eggs in taverns when I was young. They were a favorite snack then, so hopefully I'll like them again whenever I open one of these jars. The pickled peppers will be an entirely new adventure.
