Spokane's own "slut" or tart march

All over the world there has been reaction to the offensive and ignorant remarks made at York University by a Toronto police officer speaking at a campus safety panel. He stated that woman could avoid being sexually assaulted by not dressing as sluts. Spokane joined the reaction by calling for it's own "tart" march on Saturday. The purpose being to demonstrate that it is wrong to blame victims of assault and violent attacks and rapes for contributing to it by "asking" for it. article on spokane march here.

We drove down to where we knew the march was going to go by and rallied them on and, of course, blipped them! Similar marches were held in Seattle and many many other cities across the globe. It is NEVER ok to condone violence toward woman and then say they contributed to their own assault.
