Pretty cool memorial down @ Battery Park in Manhattan. Found this pretty cool WEBSITE when looking for info about the statue. Check out the link -- I think theres a lot of interesting info about NYC in it.

The Statue of Liberty looms pretty far from Manhattan and Ellis Island can be seen to the right of the monument.
