Man on the beach

A few minutes to spare in Wapping today.

One of my favourite spots.

This guy was walking around outside The Prospect of Whitby on his mobile phone.

I went down to the beach and didn't realise he'd followed me (or maybe he knew of his spot as well). Either way he set himself down on the pebbles and looked out to the river, waiting for his phone to ring.

I was half expecting him to be a Reggie Perrin, to take his clothes off and walk into the river, but as I left he was still there.
