Shredded

This is a picture of what was left of my brain after the interview today.

First up, the technical test - a little program specification written in German. Can I write the required storage variables and associated code? i'll give it a blooming good go. 20 minutes later, it's done and I get given a sheet with about 200 adjectives on it. Can I pick the ones that describe me the best and the ones that don't? Ehm, I could do it a lot better if I had a dictionary...

Then an hour and bit of talking about project experience and pretty much all the questions are in German. I answer as best I can and emerge shattered. It was a good interview, he could have cut it short but he didn't. I was there, talking my best Deutsch and thinking on my feet for the whole thing. Exhausting.

I'll hear at the weekend if I am to attend the final interview next week. I think my German let me down but perhaps they are willing to take me on in the knowledge that I will get better. I suspect not.
