The River Moskva

Fishing is popular in Moscow, even across from the grand Stalin-era 'Hotel Ukraine', now a plush Radisson hotel next to a European shopping mall.

I'm gutted that I missed the big red star on the top of the building - this is one of the Seven Sisters of Moscow, a monument to the greatness of the Soviet Union.

The river frontage is impossibly grand, but flanked with very busy roads (street racers use them to get to the edge-of-town tracks in the evenings).
