head butting...

...into the rose bushes

this poor little guy... - well, maybe not so poor - i think he was high on nectar. he kept knocking into the side of the roses... so this isn't the clearest of pictures, but i thought it was funny the way his little head is down against the side of the rose. and if you could've heard him - bzzzzz... bzzzzz... bzzzzz... i was laughing so hard - maybe it's not a clear shot because i couldn't hold the blasted camera steady - there's a thought.

i've never seen quite so many bees around the rose bushes. in fact, this seems to be the summer of the bees, 'cuz no matter what flowers i've been around, there have been bees hanging about. boo! not that i'm getting any better at capturing them...
