Berlin Backblip No3
Started the morning off by heading to a tour of a WWII bunker. It's one of the few ones left as the vast majority were bombed out by the Allies, and had to remain standing as it was (and still is) directly next to a train station.
Interesting fact, many of Berlin's small hills were formed out of the piles of debris and rubble that they couldn't rebuild the city out of. So a lot of the small parks in the city have remnants of WWII buried underneath.
Not much else was on the menu of things to see today, except the atrium of the DZ Bank, which was mentioned specifically as a go-to spot in Berlin in a photography magazine. It's a real sight to see, a whole mess of glass and lines. I thought it was mega-impressive.
Aside from that and checking out Checkpoint Charlie, we just had a relaxed afternoon and strolled about during an amazing sunset.
