Boat race day
I seem to have developed a London 'second sense', whether I mean to or not. The weather is sh*t today, but I'm compelled to go down to the Thames at Hammersmith this afternoon, God knows why, I have no desire to.
When I get there the weather is even worse than when I left. The wind is whistling down the Thames tunnel and the rain battering against my face. However, there are also hundreds of other people out here too. Windswept thirty something Fulhamites clutching their beers and small children.
Then it dawns on me it's Boat Race Day. It must have registered in my subconscious somewhere because I was just outside the River Cafe when the boats went past... and very quick they were too!
It was however too wet and windy to even consider getting my camera out of its bag, so here's a vaguely erotic picture of a plant instead!
Oxford won by the way.
