Granton Daisy View...

Caught this shot in the grey evening light after the rain on my way home from my photgraphy class tonight. I almost didn't go - it was my Uncle's funeral today, but the family had all started heading back to their home airts & pairts of Scotland and beyond by teatime.

It was one of those all too common funeral days, where extended family share the sadness of the passing of a loved one, but gladness in renewing longstanding bonds; filling in gaps in storylines and wishing that it wasn't an occasion like this that brought us all together.

So - a family vow was made - an annual gathering to celebrate our family, plus finding some way online of curating our shared stories. There was mass horror at the idea of using Facebook for this, so if anyone knows a good site where you can set up private groups, to share news, events and photos, let me know!! Otherwise we might need to just build one!
