on a matte-finish night in the middle of the year
I never got round to setting up my camera somewhere it would be unlikely to be disturbed to do a timelapse of the movement or apparent movement of the clouds or sun and so on through the course of the longest day but it would have recorded little but the slow increase in puddle-depth and the increasing saturation of buildings' stonework today. I didn't get quite soaked to the skin on the way home but in the morning I'll definitely notice the lack of newspaper available in the house with which my shoes could be stuffed overnight.
