Hairpin Banksia
It was icy cold and I have a cold, so I wasn't venturing too far for a blip. This Banksia spinulosa is common in the Blue Mountains, and this particular one has obviously been well picked over by the Yellow-faced Honey Eaters that frequent the open forest behind our house. However I liked the way it was backlit by the last rays of the afternoon sun.
