Rubies and sunshine

The sun appeared from behind the clouds, and I parked myself in a patio chair and waited for the ruby-throats to come to the feeder so I could blip them for my hummingbird series. Sunshine does make a big difference. Try looking at this fellow in large.

We've had a beautiful day. The sun, once it made an appearance, stayed out most of the afternoon and evening. The threatened (by the TV weather forecast) storms have not materialized yet. There is still the possibility for storms overnight, but hopefully they will stay away from our neighborhood.

Here is the female hummer. She is lovely too, even without the fancy red necklace.
