beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Today we went for an elephant ride. It was amazing to spent time with such an enormous animal, who eats about 300 to 350 kg of leaves and food a day - who weighs about 3,5 (female) to 6 tons (male). Who have 6 sets of teeth in his life time, who's digestive system takes about 40 minutes from head to toe!!! Who can run up to 45 km / hour.

There was Tsotsi ( the mom) and Sam ( the dad) and the baby whose name translated means Surprise!!! He is about 3 years old and quiet naughty!!!!

When you look them in the eye they seem so gentle - almost humble - this makes Africa the special place it is!!!
