Take a Stand

I am generally quite a happy bloke with a lot to be grateful for, but today was one of those days when i seem to be spending a lot of time just staring at my feet feeling incredibly flat. But... i cant help feeling Blipland probably has enough photographs of feet!

Went instead up to our local church 'The Stand'. Its name goes back long before the church when it was the highest point around and was the spot where the ladies used to stand looking over the valley below watching the men hunting.

It was built in 1826 by Sir Charles Barry, the same chap who designed the tower for Big Ben. Its still a busy church today and has only had 9 vicars in all those years.
