Dido
This is beautiful Dido. She lives on one of the Faroe Islands and she came to my Clicker Training Seminar today.
She is a grand-daughter to my sheltie Biscuit (see yesterdays blip). Dido's mum is Biscuit's daughter.
Dido was imported from Denmark to the Faroes 3 years ago, when she was a baby puppy. I had been in touch with Dido's owner Nina regarding my first visit here and she asked me if I could recommend a good sheltie breeder. I knew that Biscuit's daughter was expecting a litter and luckily the breeder was willing to send one of the pups abroad. Dido and Nina are a perfect match!
It has been a busy day, but a good one. I left home at 8 this morning. Brought all the dogs to their different dog sitters and arrived to the airport at 11. It took a while to check in and get through security, but I still had time to get some breakfast before departure at 12.30. We landed about 2.30 pm local time.
It was a beautiful drive from Vagar, where the airport is to Torshavn, where I am staying. My hostess Bjørg took me out for dinner and then I had half an hour in my hotel, before my seminar started.
I had a wonderful evening with some keen handlers, who really wanted to learn, and their beautiful dogs.
Now I am back in the hotel and I think it is bedtime soon.
