End of an Elm :(

A few weeks ago, I blipped about a tree in Union Terrace Gardens that had been broken in the wind ... until today the fallen part lay along the path. This morning the buzz of chainsaws filled the air and the tree was cut up ... the part that was still standing was reduced to ground level too ... that's what you see here. All the wood was brought out and well you can see the devastation on the slope that the Manitou has caused bringing the trunk and branches to the tractor for loading. I know the fallen tree has to come out but there seems to be a huge lot of damage done here in the process :(
