Hotan & the Taklamankan Desert Sand Storm!

What a different city! Hotan does not seem like it's in China at all, with all the minority Chinese walking around. There was a big town square that people were just hanging out in, playing with big bouncy balls, watching sports on a big screen TV. We decided to stop by after dinner to check out the scene and the place was lit up with people having fun. But in about 5 minutes, the sand storm devil blew its way in from the nearby Taklamankan Desert and cleared up the entire square within 10 minutes. Let me tell you, it is NOT fun to be caught in the middle of the sand storm.
