The settling dust
1. I spend the day at home, quiet and a little disbelieving. I've been up for a while now, with just patches of rest. Every so often I allow myself a smile.
2. The reviews are in, not that they matter, but they make me gasp. I catch up on the coverage from the past two days and start to piece together the scale and breadth of what we have done. To be involved in anyway in this great, being at the heart of it is astonishing.
3. But, my guard is still up, I'm still waiting on something going wrong - I don't know what or why - it just keeps me grounded. It feels right to keep grounded.
4. The day meanders on and the crowds start to gather in the street for Take That. I watch them swarm and stagger and I'm happy to be up high and quiet.
5. My day closes with a little toast to myself. Phil left two mini bottles of cava on my desk on Tuesday with a post it that read 'for consumption in the wee hours'.
Cheers.
