Frozen final moons
Dear Heart,
My room looks terribly bare - all thinned-down and lonely. I think that, in a sense, it already belongs to someone else. I visited Flat 5 and we ate a picnic over past Rockety Bridge. Chicken burgers, grapes, dark chocolate and several punnets of strawberries.
We returned a half hour or so later, wrapped in blankets and armed against the cold with hot water bottles and flasks. We were supposed to watch the sun set, but to be honest, I think we had already missed the best bit. In fact, all we could really see were a pink ribbon draped across the tops of the trees. We ended up turning around to look at the moon, which was quite lovely indeed.
After waiting until the park was pitch black and entirely empty for Jen's Nick to join us, risking death and dismemberment in the process, we returned to Flat 5 for our final midnight tea party. Bliss...
Love, Lydia x
