Blushing girls with cheeks like poppies

Dear Heart,
It is probably a sign of the sheer relief I feel to be home that I so often find myself wandering around the house and rediscovering some of its special beauties. Our back porch, for example. We have the happiest little red door, once destroyed by Mamma Mia in a desperate frenzy to get her five children inside out of the rain. And in the porch is a beautiful vase of false red poppies. Aren't they lovely, with the sun sitting behind them?
