For most of the last week my daughter has been part of a small group of students who have been taught to stone carve by a Master Mason.

They carved Pictish symbols first into Caithness flag, which they were allowed to keep, and then into sandstone, which will be exhibited at Caithness Horizons in Thurso.

This is her flag carving....I'm very proud of her :)
