When two tribes go to war
Dieseldaisy and me laughed our pants of this afternoon. We ended up on the other side of our island where the boys had a go at a laser tag game (kind of like paintball without the paint).
First they all stood in a circle and fired non-stop, like some strange version of an Al Capone film. We then managed to convince them that the idea was not to get rid of you ammo as quickly as possible. Once split into two teams they managed to get the hang of it all.
We left them to it and went to have a look at the motocross (see daisy's blip). On returning to the warzone we were met by the boys leaving the field looking very fed up. Another family had joined in and started picking our lot off one by one. The only one left was Campbell. As we all watched a little girl of about 5 or 6 appeared beside him, distracted his attention and he was hit.
The boys all looked at each other and realised this was what had happened to them all. They were so disgruntled that Dieseldaisy paid for another round of ammo and sent them back in.
This time it was war!
We couldn't believe the difference now that they had a common enemy. Pack mentality set in and they set about the systematic destruction of the opposition. The kids were first (not the 5 year old decoy, she was just ignored), hunted down and despatched with frightening efficiency. Lastly the mother was surrounded and hit with a reign of fire that there was no way she could stand up to, mainly because she was laughing so much!
Scary bunch, our kids, they reminded me of the Velociraptors from Jurassic Park.
