had a walk round the policies of gosford house this afternoon, after a friend told me about it. didn't see the house, but walked in woods & round large man-made ponds, (one had a couple meditating by it so i left them in peace.) found a curling hut that was once encrusted in shells, a stately arched boarhouse, & a weird building, faced with weird stones with many holes or fossils in them. a place i shall definitely revisit - so many blips just waiting.

i have lived & worked in east lothian at various times over the past 40 years & only discovered this gem today! ain't life surprising....
