Mr. Sandhill

Honestly, this family of cranes found me on a trail today as I was going for my daily walk. I couldn't help but to take a couple of pictures of the two babies (now quite grown) and the parents. I guess I was a little too close because this fellow here pecked me in the leg! Good thing I had long pants on. As he walked away satisfied, I took his picture. I can't blame him protecting his family!!
