Happy bike parking

Walked by the kids' school today and admired our community project from the spring. Over several days, with small groups of kids ages 5-10, we added these fun touches to the chain link fence near the bike parking area at school. In addition to painting the plywood cutouts, the kids wove old bike tire tubes, garden hoses, plastic scraps, and bamboo into the fence to form hills, trees, and flowers.

It was a fun project in the making and the results make me smile.
