This was taken from further away because this old camera - which yes, I'm still using - just doesn't do close-ups and so I've resorted to slight cropping to bring it a bit nearer. This is one of our not-doing-too-well artichoke plants, although neither of us are particularly fond of eating them so it doesn't really matter! I do love the big, thistle-type flowers though.
