The Flag
Today while running various errands we stopped at a local grocery store to pick up a few odds and ends. While there, Carter was immediately drawn to their instore firework display/4th of July merchandise. He begged me for fireworks but I refused. Of course then he begged me for an American Flag. I agreed but had to put my foot down when he wanted the full sized flag. I felt a handheld was sufficient enough for a 6 year old who just wanted to carry it around with him.
Well, it must have been a good purchase because he took it around to all of our errands and even brought it with us out to dinner. What can I say, he loves his country....or just maybe a flag that occassionally I caught him using as a weapon. BOYS!
On a side note. I had gone to take pictures earlier in the day however my camera battery was dead. I despise when that happens and each time it does I hear my husbands voice in my head saying the same thing he has said for years "You need to buy an extra battery. How many times of this happening is it going to take you to realize that". Darn it! Anyway, I did a quick charge of the battery and snapped this picture very before heading out for the evening. It's all I had to use for my blip photo today.
