Black Pig Border
Today was one of my favourite days in Bakewell the 'Day of Dance'.
Over 20 (very) different dance troupes turned out to perform.
From the usual Line Dancing (rubbish) to the sublime Black Pig Morris dancing troupe.
They are named after the ship of the infamous Captain Pugwash, and were formed in 1986 in Eastwood on the Nottinghamshire and Derby border.
Always amazingly turned out they can look on first appearances quite intimidating and scary.
You can see their appeal though as they do something I thought was impossible, they make Morris dancing look cool.
