So close!

A visit to Edinburgh Zoo today with the youngest, (eldest still in France), Youngest has been pleading with us for a while for a visit so when the opportunity of free tickets came up we grabbed the opportunity!

We also took the opportunity of visiting Marionville Models which is legendary for anything that flies, takes batteries or requires to be stuck together. The youngest was a bit in awe but was happy enough when he left with a remote control plane

I am not a great Zoo lover but I was happily surprised by the Zoo, and I loved the Monkey house, where I watched them picking and cleaning themselves and giving each other a cuddle, but it was their eyes, they had a way of looking right into you, (abit to close to the Planet of the Apes for my liking!), the other unnerving thing was the rats that kept appearing, obviously having a quick snack on all the leftovers, now that was a bit unnerving!
I loved this instillation in the monkey house, there was something Scifi about it.
A great start to the holidays and on the plus side the weather held!
