New Flowerbed
Busy in the garden today - nearly didn't get started as we thought it was going to rain. First job was to go and buy some more compost and the wooden fence posts to edge the bed. And some plants of course.
That was the easy bit. There was digging involved but luckily that's a blue job in our house so I didn't have to get involved. Then Gary sawed the edging posts in half so they were low enough for what we wanted. After that he sieved the earth he'd dug out to put it back in & then topped it up with the compost.
While he was doing that I was lopping branches off the apple tree in our front garden as it's going a bit wild - that was surprisingly satisfying!
After all that activity, I got to put the plants in the new flower bed and make it look pretty - we're both very pleased with it - it does make the front of the house look a lot better. But now we need to tidy up the rest of the front garden to match - it's never ending!
