URBAN ROTORS

Friday the 24th of June and Edinburgh find themselves hosting the Annual Armed Forces Day. Now in its 3rd year, The Armed Forces Day allows all our serving men and woman to see how much the public support them whilst at home and away.

Arriving on the eve of the Offical Armed Forces Day, this Royal Navy Lynx from HMS Portland which had docked in Leith Harbour also as part of the event was aiming to land in the city's Holyrood Park, where the majority of events were being focused.

So after having to nip away for a refuel whilst parking location and adequate space was organised in the park, the Fleet Air Arm Lynx of 815 Naval Air Squadron made her second attempt to let down, as I had predicted right in front of me!!!!

So my shot for the day, with the the eastern edge of Edinburghs urban sky line as a backdrop!!!!
