Rock Choir

Years and years ago I used to sing in both a school choir and church choir, I can't remember how long ago I stopped but, I'm guessing it must be about 25 years ago. I still enjoy singing even though I don't always carry a tune as well as I did as a child.

Every time there is some sort of choir on TV such as one of the Gareth Malone series or Last Choir Standing, I've thought about finding a choir to join in Leicester. A few years ago I looked for a choir to join but couldn't find anything suitable. The only choir I found that may suit me had rehearsal nights on a day that i already had commitments. So I gave up the idea.

Then I saw the ITV series, 'The Choir that Rocked' about Rock Choir.

A check of the web site told me they were starting choirs in both Leicester & nearby Loughborough and they were inviting people to come along for a #taster session'. Today I joined about 70 other people in Loughborough for 90 minutes of singing. It was a little weird singing an alto line and not the melody I had a blast.
