Atop Glastonbury Tor
After a gentle drive down through Cheddar gorge and arrived at our cottage, nestling under Glastonbury Tor, we decided to head up to the top.
We were not alone.
At least 100 other people were there before us. Perhaps the weather was dry and it was their first opportunity to enjoy a late solstice party?
All of life seemed to be there.
The young, old, sober and fast becoming no sober young people, the beautiful people and the strangely distant staring hippy types. Some played guitars, some smoked "Strange smelling rollups" (I wonder........), some were picnicking at 9.30pm, but most were there for the sunset. The low cloud really didn't give them a good show, but it was worth the climb to see everyone there, never mind the sight of the Glastonbury festival in the distance. It is a huge site, but luckily we can't hear a peep from it.
Sigh!
We can't wait to explore the area.
The Cider and cheese sellers around here are gonna love us........Oh and ice cream parlours. Have you ever tried Ginger Ice cream? Then you haven't lived.
I have and I will be living it again as soon as I find it again.
As for the diet..........................
