A House for Geese?

This property is on the waterfront in Rumson--one of New Jersey's most upscale towns.

The house on the left is clearly totally abandoned--and the family of Canada Geese (with 5 young teenagers) seemed to be checking it out. Or perhaps they are the mascots of the oarsmen who use the eight-oar racing shells on the rack to the right.

This lot adjoins a wonderful waterside park where we had come with our son and his family. We had lunch outdoors at a nearby restaurant. A lovely day, around 80 F (26 C), with a light breeze.

I want to thank everyone who checked in on my 500th blip posted yesterday (featuring my two young grandsons). The response has been incredibly gratifying--what a community this is!
