Go Fishing

We have a canal close to our home, the water never looked very tempting to me to have a swim or even to eat some fish from it.
But you see a lot of Chinese man fishing here with nets, seldom I see a fish bigger than 5 cm in the nets so the method is either not too efficient or looking at the number of people fishing there the canal is totally empty.

So perhaps the main reason in China is the same as in Holland were the wife says go fishing
