Midsommarafton
Midsummer is huge in Sweden. This weekend the city is a ghost town. Ramona and I decided to just be tourists and go to Skansen to see the old traditions.
It was really noticeable how few Swedish people there were in town. Almost everyone was a tourist! And all the shops were closed. So we went to ICA, the one shop that seemed to be open and bought food and then went to Skansen.
It was packed with tourists, and we just sat and watched them all... There was some traditional folk dancing as well which was nice to see.
Then in the evening we got food from Max (healthy) and took it home to eat.
So a pretty un-Swedish Midsommar, but it was still nice.
All the locals go off to the country and the archipelago and have BBQs and parties with friends and family. But Ramona and I have neither of those things in Sweden :P
