Poinsettia

We were given a Poinsettia at Christmas 2006 which was beautiful. As 2007 progressed the plant lost all of the red leaves but it grew and flourished. Now the expert advice is to add these plants to the compost heap because they are not worth keeping. Well this one was beautiful through Christmas again although only green. A short time ago it lost most of the green leaves but has now grown vivid red ones in profusion. We are really glad we did not chuck it out as advised.
