Alien invasion?

Was running this evening with Smilla through Pildammsparken and saw these chrysalis stage alien creatures waiting for spring and their transformation to lethal invaders wanting to take control over the nation and the world, seemingly not knowing that this old pavilion isn't the Swedish Parliament building!

..or is it just tender young bushes dressed in sacking being protected against possible persistent frosty or snowy days?
